Sprinkle Embossing Powder over image, shake off excess and return to jar.
Heat powder until it melts. Do not overheat.
This will produce a raised effect to the image.
Wipe your card with an anti-static bag before you begin embossing. This will remove any fingerprints on the card so the embossing powder will only stick to the ink.
Place your work onto an old ceramic tile whilst applying the heat, so that your working surface is heat-proof and protected.
Let the heat gun run for 30 seconds before holding it to the card. The gun will then be at its hottest, so you won't have to hold it on the card for long, which could result in buckling.
If your card does buckle slightly once you've embosssed it, hold the heat gun underneath the card for a few seconds to return it to shape.
When heat embossing in black, use a black pigment ink with clear embossing powder. The finished effect is the same as using black embossing powder, but using clear ink means it's far less messy!
